5 Steps To Achieving Your Weight Loss Goal

Finishing up our "5-Day 5 lbs" KHR Challenge!

A week ago I decided to buy a smart scale to track my weight loss as I test the new KHR meal plans and plant-based anti-inflammatory recipes from “Fuel 4 The Soul”

I was shocked to see that in 3 days I LOST 5 lbs. while eating and never feeling hungry! My family can vouch for it! Even they enjoyed the meals!

Feelfit app I just start using with my smart scale is really cool!

If you are looking to lose weight you might benefit from these 5 steps:

1. BUY A SMART SCALE.

The latest research from American Heart Association shows that people who own and use the scale often are more likely to lose weight than those that don’t. I imagine this has a lot to do with goal setting and dealing with unpleasant feelings of shame. When I voiced this out loud my eleven year old son commented “You don’t need a research for that! I could have told you that. Those that weigh themselves care more. Simple. They think about it more often and they are doing something about it.” It made me laugh, how some things are more obvious to kids than adults.

2. SET WEEKLY GOALS.

Break down your big goals into specific small goals. Be as specific as possible. Instead of saying “I want to lose weight”, say “I want to lose 8 lbs. in 4 weeks”. Then focus on losing 2 lbs a week.

3. FIND INTRINSIC MOTIVATION.

We all need a dose of motivation especially when it gets tough and our will gets weaker. So it’s imperative to know WHY we want this change. A well defined strong WHY will carry us through those rough patches, when we feel tempted and want to give up.

4. MAKE A PLAN OF ACTION.

To realize our goals we need to ACT. You don’t have to have all your ducks in a row, but you need a simple plan to begin. Our plan of action can make a difference between achieving our goal and still dreaming about it. So, create a tangible plan that involves meal planning, exercising, reading, and reducing stress. If you are looking for one. The KHR plans are a great place to start.

5. ACCOUNTABILITY AND SUPPORT.

We all know this. Encouragement and support of others matter. If you don’t have support system already, find one. The KHR community of amazing women can help inspire and motivate you.
